AO SPECIALTY POLISHING STONE
Specialty Polishing Stone · Treated Aluminum Oxide · Medium-Hard Structure with Moderate Breakdown
Filled with lubricant during the manufacturing process, the AO finishing stone does not require lengthy pre-lubrication. It offers excellent breakdown characteristics and yet retains its shape well, especially when polishing mold cavity details. 220 grit is an ideal "start up stone" for machined surfaces. Grits 220 and 320 work well in removing EDM (electrical discharge machining) scale. Materials that AO works well on include A2, A6, D2, DC53, O6, S7, and P20. It can be used either by hand with one of our Hand Holders or with reciprocating profilers like our U-Lap and Turbo-Lap Air Profilers. Must be used with a lubricant to prevent stone loading. Try our Premium Stoning Oil or BORI-LUBE 10!
Available in 120-1200 grit and a wide variety of sizes including round and triangle shapes.
