Dark Ruby is a specialty polishing stone manufactured from select premium aluminum oxide grain. Designed with blockier, less friable abrasive particles, Dark Ruby resists breakdown under pressure, providing exceptional durability, longer life, and consistent cutting performance.

The hard structure and controlled breakdown rate allow the stone to maintain its shape and cutting ability longer than conventional polishing stones. Its less aggressive cutting action makes Dark Ruby an excellent choice for applications requiring greater control, precision, and superior surface finishes. Polishers who prioritize stone life and finish quality will appreciate the smooth, consistent results achieved with Dark Ruby.

Dark Ruby can be used either by hand with one of our Hand Holders or with reciprocating profilers like our U-Lap and Turbo-Lap Air Profilers. Can be used with or without a lubricant. Try our Premium Stoning Oil or BORI-LUBE 10! 

When maximum stock removal and faster cutting speeds are required, our standard Ruby stone remains the preferred choice. For longer-lasting performance and enhanced surface finish quality, choose Dark Ruby.
